Arianne Davis - Ambassador - Invisible Disabilities Association

Arianne M Davis

I began my disability journey in 2014 with multiple diagnoses of Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Elevated Epstein Barr, Sleep Apnea, Sleep Paralysis. I have a double Bachelors in Athletic Training and Sports Management, and a Master of Education in Health Promotion & Education

My ability to help others navigate life has been amplified by my own experiences. Taking life one day at a time has allowed me to accomplish things I was told I could/would never do.

IDA Ambassador – Ohio

Arianne Davis’s disability journey began in 2014 with multiple diagnoses at once: Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Elevated Epstein Barr, Sleep Apnea, Sleep Paralysis, etc. And now include Anxiety, Depression, Thyroid issues, Exertional Rhabdomyolysis, just to name a few. My Internist said, “I have people with fewer things wrong than you, and they are on disability!” In that moment, I knew I had a choice to make, and I replied, “I have a life to live and a child to raise, so let’s get this figured out.” Not every day is a bad day, but good days are few and far between.

Taking life one day at a time has allowed me to accomplish things I was told I could/would never do. The diagnoses keep coming, yet I do not quit! Some days, taking a shower is a victory.  Other days, I can push the limits and capture a National pageant title! (I am writing this one-week post-pageant and my body is still a complete wreck. Was it worth it? Absolutely!)

I have a double Bachelors in Athletic Training and Sports Management, and a Master of Education in Health Promotion & Education. After spending 17 years working as a collegiate athletic trainer, serving as a clinical instructor, professor and Head AT at all 3 NCAA levels, I transitioned full time to Wellness Coaching in an industrial setting.

It has been proven to me time after time, that God puts me where and when He needs me. My ability to help others navigate life has been amplified by my own experiences. My life has been service-oriented since I was a child, and helping others continues to be my calling & passion today.
