Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Steve Shapiro has practiced law since 1983 and has spent the entirety of his career aggressively pursuing fair resolution in personal injury cases. His legal practice focuses on personal injury law with an emphasis on brain injury law or neurolaw. Steve is admitted to practice law before the Colorado Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, U.S. Court of Appeals (10th Circuit), United States Claims Court, and U.S. Supreme Court.
Steve is an experienced trial lawyer and partner of Ogborn Mihm, LLP who has represented people with all types of brain injuries. His practice focuses primarily on representing those who have suffered catastrophic injuries. Steve’s work ethic, dedication, and compassion in his field has resulted in significant results for his clients.
Steve has been proving invisible disabilities for more than 30 years. He has worked with individuals who have suffered from traumatic brain injuries and has seen how these invisible disabilities affect lives. Something of great import to Steve is helping his clients acquire appropriate rehabilitative care, as well as improving the quality of their life, after a catastrophic injury. Steve supports the work of IDA because it provides invaluable information, insight, support, and opportunity to those living with invisible disabilities.
