Jim Allsup is the 2009 recipient of  the IDA Advocacy Honors Award. Jim was chosen based upon his personal and corporate passion to help people who have become disabled through his leadership as President and CEO of Allsup Inc and based upon his recognition as an authority on disability related Social  Security and Medicare issues.

Jim Allsup founded Allsup Inc. in 1984. Twenty-five years later, as president and chief executive officer, he leads an organization with nearly 600 employees headquartered in Belleville, Ill. The leader in the Social Security Disability Insurance representation industry, Allsup has helped more than 120,000 people receive more than $10.3 billion in SSDI and Medicare benefits.
