Arlene was taught the importance of using one’s talents and skills to help others. After receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in Education with a minor in Music, she settled in Denver in 1965. She taught in north Denver and Adams County schools before moving on to manage a medical practice for 20 years.

Today, Arlene is active in many Denver philanthropic circles, holding leadership positions with groups that include the American Diabetes Association, the Invisible Disabilities Association, Colorado Neurological Institute, Cancer League of Colorado, Susan G Komen Breast Cancer, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Bessie’s Hope, Denver Ballet, TAPS and Sue Miller Evening of Caring, just to name a very few.

Arlene’s expression is “Caring is my business” speaks volumes about her. Arlene is excited to be serving as the Honorary Gala Chair for the Invisible Disabilities Association’s 10th Annual Awards Gala on October 21, 2017!
